La Fototeca
is a Contemporary Photography Center based in Guatemala City, founded by Clara de Tezanos and JJ Estrada with the purpose of educating, promoting, documenting and celebrating photography.
With the mission of educating new generations of photographers it has seen over 400 students participate in various workshops, exhibitions and artist talks in the past two years, along with the production of the inaugural GuatePhoto Festival in 2010.
The second edition of the GuatePhoto Festival, a Museum of Photography, a gallery, a library, a digital lab and new facilities for a one year program will be opening in 2012.
